The diagnosis

Where qualified pipeline quietly dies

Most conversion problems are not talent problems. They are structural failures at three specific points of the sales conversation.

Calls happen. Decisions don’t.

Good conversations end in "send me a proposal" instead of a decision. The prospect leaves without a clear next step, and the deal moves to a maybe-pile that rarely converts.

Discovery interrogates instead of diagnosing.

A checklist of questions is not a diagnosis. When discovery fails to surface the cost of the problem, price becomes the only thing left to negotiate.

Follow-up runs on memory and mood.

After the call, everything depends on whoever remembers to write. Deals that needed four structured touches get one improvised email, then silence.

Who this is for

Built for teams that already generate demand

South Point works with service businesses, agencies, consultancies and expert-led companies that already hold qualified conversations, and convert too few of them.

We are deliberately narrow. If you need lead generation, we are not the right partner and will say so on the first call. If qualified conversations are already happening and too few end in committed revenue, that is exactly our work.

  • Service businesses with high-ticket offers
  • Agencies and consultancies selling expertise
  • Founder-led sales teams moving to structured closing
  • Sales teams in English, Spanish or both

What we do

Six interventions. One outcome: committed revenue.

The method

The Decision Point

Every engagement runs on the same five-phase operating method. It starts with inspection of real calls and ends with a cadence that holds the standard after we leave.

  1. Chart
  2. Bearing
  3. Instrument
  4. Drill
  5. Hold

Proof you can inspect

No invented numbers. Inspectable work instead.

We do not publish fabricated testimonials or unverifiable close-rate claims, and we distrust consultancies that do. What we offer instead is work you can examine before committing:

The frameworks, published

The actual working documents we install — decision checklist, objection map, follow-up blueprint, call scorecard — are openly published on our resources page.

A written audit before any engagement

Send two recorded calls. You receive written, specific notes on where the conversation lost the decision. You judge the quality of our eye before paying for it.

Deliverables named in advance

Every proposal lists the exact documents, sessions and review cadence you will receive. Nothing is sold as "strategy" without a named artifact behind it.

Sales outcomes depend on lead quality, offer, pricing, market conditions and implementation. No statement on this site is a guarantee of revenue, close rate or business results.

In practice

How an engagement plays out.

Three composite scenarios drawn from the patterns we see most often. They are illustrative examples, not client cases, and no results are claimed.

◆ Illustrative example

Founder, B2B services company

The situation
Proposals go out after strong calls, then the thread goes quiet. Every deal depends on the founder remembering to chase it between deliveries.
The intervention
A follow-up system with a named cadence, plus a decision checklist that defines what must be true before a proposal is sent at all.
The shift
Deals move toward a clear yes or no on a schedule the system owns, instead of drifting while the founder is busy delivering.

◆ Illustrative example

Head of sales, professional services firm

The situation
Discovery calls run long, turn into free consulting, and closing energy is spent on prospects who were never going to buy.
The intervention
A qualification architecture: the questions that establish cost, urgency and authority before any pitch, drilled against real recorded calls.
The shift
The pipeline carries fewer conversations, but each one is with someone who can actually decide — and the team can tell the difference early.

◆ Illustrative example

Sales lead, marketing agency

The situation
Every rep improvises objection handling their own way, so the same objection kills a deal on Monday and gets resolved on Thursday.
The intervention
An objection map built from the team’s own recordings, with one agreed answer per recurring objection, then drilled until it holds under pressure.
The shift
Objections stop being surprises. The quality of the answer no longer depends on which rep picks up the call.

Client voices

Reviews, published with permission.

Client reviews are collected and published only with written permission. Nothing on this site is invented — so this space stays empty until a real client agrees to appear here.

Questions

Asked before most fit calls

Do you close deals for us, or teach us to close?

Both models exist, and we are honest about which fits. Most engagements install a closing system and train your team on it. Embedded closing support is available for a limited number of clients where the economics justify it.

We already have scripts. Why is this different?

A script tells a rep what to say. A closing system defines what must be true before you ask for a decision, what to diagnose, how to handle each mapped objection and what happens after the call. Scripts are one small artifact inside that system.

How do you measure whether it works?

Against your own baseline. Phase one documents current conversion at each pipeline stage from your CRM and call recordings. Progress is measured against that record, not against industry folklore.

Do you work with Spanish-speaking sales teams?

Yes. Engagements run in English, Spanish or both, including bilingual call review and bilingual playbooks.

What does an engagement cost?

Fees depend on scope and are confirmed in a written proposal after the fit call. We do not publish standard pricing because engagements are not standard. You will always know the full fee before committing.

What if you look at our pipeline and cannot help?

We say so on the fit call and, where we can, point you to what to fix first. A narrow practice only stays credible by refusing work outside it.
